In Pets Go, Crystal Keys, also known as Secret Keys, are essential for unlocking the Crystal Chest. These rare collectibles are found in two parts: the lower and upper key halves. To acquire them, you'll need to unlock the Crystal Chest upgrade in the Breakables sub-menu, which causes the chest to spawn near the Beach.
How to Obtain Lower Key Parts
To start collecting the lower halves of the Secret Keys, unlock the Breakable Keys upgrade. For better chances, also unlock Digging for Keys and Faster Cooldowns upgrades. Once unlocked, the lower halves can be found through breakables and digging spots, with the Metal Detector being optional but helpful.
How to Obtain Upper Key Parts
To find the upper halves of the Secret Keys, you’ll need to focus on fishing. Unlock the Treasure Keys upgrade and, if possible, More Treasure Keys to increase your odds of finding the upper parts. Additional upgrades, like Crystal Chest Coins and Lucky Loot I, can boost rewards when you open the Crystal Chest.
Using Crystal Keys
Once you've collected both halves, head to your inventory and combine the key parts. You can then use the completed Crystal Key to open the Crystal Chest. Each key allows 10 rolls for various rewards, but note that the key breaks after a single use. Therefore, you will need to find new key parts each time.
Is It Worth It?
The rewards from the Crystal Chest vary, and while you may get useful items, the odds are not always in your favor. If you're actively engaging in activities like fishing, digging, and breaking boxes, then farming Crystal Keys might be worthwhile. However, for players who focus more on passive activities like farming Diamonds, it might not be the most efficient use of your time. Still, with enough effort, the rewards from the chest can be quite satisfying!
